For everythingyouweretooafraidtoask

The sense of excitement (that he never really got used to, even in 900-some years of life) enveloped The Doctor as he landed the TARDIS on a new, random planet. He’d been traveling alone for a few days, somehow managing to keep out of trouble, so he really hoped this planet was inhabited. Sentient life forms were ever so much more interesting to interact with.

Grinning, The Doctor slipped on his overcoat, made sure his sonic screwdriver was in his pocket, and threw open the door of the TARDIS. The world beyond was a little dark, and rather pungent, to be honest. He took a few steps out and recognized where he was. Wracksnarr87, but about eight billion years before anything would get really interesting. Alas, at this time and place, the only organisms around were several species of unattractive slime mould.

Oh, well. The Doctor returned to his ship and said, “C’mon, old girl. You know what they say. Try, try again!”

‘Doctor Who’ Personality Quiz: Which Companion Are You? | Anglophenia

BBC AMERICA is counting down the modern female companions, ranked by YOUR votes, in the new special The Brit List: Doctor Who Ultimate List of Lists, premiering Friday, December 21 at 10/9c.

And the new companion, Clara, will be unveiled on BBC AMERICA’s Doctor Who Christmas special “The Snowmen,” premiering Tuesday, December 25 at 9/8c.

Before we get into the full glory of this exciting web feature, let’s clear one thing up: if the companion you feel most kinship with is missing from this quiz, we’re sorry. Clearly we couldn’t put all of the companions in, or there’s a very real chance it would become less a fun way to think about your favorite TV show and more of an administrative nightmare, so we picked the six key TARDIS-dwellers of the modern Whovian era: Rose, Martha, Donna, River Song, Amy and Rory.

Each one has a different approach to the bizarre life they find themselves living, and each one has characteristics that help them adjust to the weirdness, the stress and all the running.

But which of these characteristics is the one closest to your own? There’s only one way to find out…

This is our favorite bit:

Note: No actual psychology has been used in the creation of this quiz. It’s all done with MAGIC!

That I got Martha makes me happy.

That River continues to be counted as a Companion (but, for instance, Mickey and Wilf don’t) annoys me. She’s been a recurring character, yes, but she doesn’t travel with the Doctor. Ergo, not a Companion.

I got Martha, too!

While occasionally lead by your heart, you have an enormously practical head on your shoulders, and are extraordinarily loyal, which means you can be relied upon to fulfill any task to the letter, no matter how personally inconvenient it may be. Guns, bandages, science, amorous playwrights from the past, there’s little you can’t handle.

For anyone who didn’t see it, let me tell you.

The Doctor’s a time traveler. He brought Vincent Van Gogh (who was severely depressed and lost hope in his ability and himself) to the future, to a museum where they are celebrating his art.

I don’t know if any of you are artists (drawing, writing, whatever), but being a writer, this scene moved me to tears. You’re your own worst critic, and feel like your stuff is complete shit sometimes…maybe even to the level of despair like Van Gogh. But imagine someone brought you to a world where people love and appreciate your art. Or it means something so special to them. The thought of it is overwhelming.

I just about died

Just looking at this makes me want to sob oh god so many feelings

I just started sobbing.

I cried so much during this episode :’)
